The goal of the INTERNATIONAL PIANO COMPETITION “PIANO KEY” is to promote musical culture and to challenge the young pianists to perform on the international musical scene. Furthermore, our goal is the promote the contemporary music and to simulate networking among the pianists and piano teachers.

Dates and deadlines
The competition is open for applications to Macedonian and foreign applicants.
DATES: December 13th & 14th 2025
PLACE: Salon 19’19 in Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia.
*The competition performances will be public, except for the Discipline Online Piano Challenge
Disciplines and Categories
Disciplines and Categories
Competitors can register in one or more of the following disciplines:
Discipline 1: 1.1. Piano Solo, 1.2. Complementary Piano
Discipline 2: Piano Duo – 4 hands piano (2 students or piano and professor duo)
Discipline 3: Piano Fun – classical, contemporary, rock, jazz, pop, or any other style
Discipline 4: Online Piano Challenge
For the first time in Macedonia, special award will be presented: Young Pianist of the Year of Macedonia

How to apply
The following documents are required to apply at the International Competition Piano Key:
1. Application form -
2. A copy of birth certificate or identity document
3. A photo of the candidate
4. Receipt of payment of the registration fee

Registration fee
The registration fee for all disciplines is:
BABY Category and PRE Category: 20 Euros (1200 MKD)
For Categories I to VIII: 25 Euros (1500 MKD)
For the Discipline Piano Duo in all Categories is 15 Euros (1000 MKD) per contestant
For the Young Pianist of the Year of Macedonia Award 40 Euros (2200)
In case of canceling the participation, the fee is nonrefundable.
Competing gives valuable life lessons, improve motivations and promotes creativity!
